The Next Generation Australian Outdoor Brand For Women

By two immigrant women choosing beauty and freedom

About Us

The Problem We Saw

The outdoor industry was built by men, for men. Technical. Aggressive. Designed for conquest, not connection. We wanted something different. Something soft. Something that didn't ask women to choose between beauty and capability, between comfort and adventure.

This is our story, and it is just the beginning.

The Midnight Garage

IWANA began as an idea between two immigrant women who arrived in Australia with very little, but with a clear instinct: to create something that feels like you. We were tired of choosing between beauty and freedom. Everything outdoors felt made for someone else—too heavy, too aggressive, and too far from who we were.

So, we built our own version. Not because we knew how, but because we had to. We spent nights designing trailers in a garage, learning as we went, arguing over details, and obsessing over materials to create something that felt different—something softer, smarter, and more alive.

The Art of Doing Nothing

From those early nights, IWANA evolved into a precision-driven design studio focused on redefining outdoor living through lightweight, intelligent, and beautifully considered products. Every detail, from airflow to materials to layout, exists for a reason.

We focus on creating tools that allow people to move through the world differently. Our trailers and outdoor pieces are not just objects; they are environments—spaces where you can rest, think, disconnect, or reconnect. They are objects that make you want to leave your phone inside and look at the sky for a second.

Comfort Without Compromise

We are committed to designing for women who are done negotiating with less: less comfort, less beauty, and less identity. We believe luxury is not about adding more, but about removing what doesn’t serve you.

Everything we create is intentional and sustainability-focused. We believe in design that respects both the body and the landscape, allowing you to choose how you want to live, even when you are far from everything familiar.

For the Woman Who Never Settles

IWANA exists for those moments when you realize you don’t need permission to create your own version of freedom. It was never meant to feel corporate; it was meant to feel personal. Like the friend who tells you: “Let’s just go,” even if nothing is perfectly planned yet.

We are still building, still learning, and still becoming. But maybe that’s the whole point. Because IWANA was never about arriving somewhere. It was always about becoming the kind of woman who never settles.
